Preparation
Matcha Preparation: Measure the right amount of matcha powder. Typically, one to two teaspoons is ideal for a standard cup. Sift your matcha powder to prevent clumps and ensure a smooth consistency in your tea. Heat water to just under boiling, between 80ºC-85ºC. Add a small amount of water, approximately 30mL, to the sifted matcha powder. Take your matcha whisk and start whisking the matcha and water. Whisk briskly in a "W" or "M" motion until the tea becomes frothy and there are no lumps left. Once you've achieved a smooth paste, add more hot water or milk to fill your cup. You can adjust the amount to suit your taste preference.
